Cruise 2017 is well underway with Gucci spearheading the forefront showing its collection in none other than Westminster Abbey. To say the collection is breathtaking would be a severe understatement; one look at it and it’s no surprise as to why the house’s superstar creative director Alessandro Michele is slated to earn the CFDA’s International Award June 6. The show opened with a bright, in-your-face, larger-than-life yellow plaid skirt paired with an equally flamboyant rainbow pullover, both featuring embroidered animals.
Looks were everywhere, from sheer black, over the knee gothic lace dresses to men strutting down in white contrast colored jackets and acid wash denim.
The references throughout were prolific, with Michele once more proving his celebrity status at the helm of Gucci has been well earned.
