Paris ended with a complete BANG.For Spring, Nicholas Ghesquiere took us back to the 17th Century back to the age of Louis !6th. the Louis Vuitton show , the final show of Paris fashion week, was held at the Lourve's Pavillion de Horologe. It was for the very first time , opened by a black model, Janaye Furman . History indeed. Marie Antoinette has become undone. Ghesquiere deconstructed her dressing gown, undone her corset put her in Louis's redingote and sent her into the 20th century". At Louis Vuitton, The Future is Now

Upon explaining the inspiration behind Louis Vuitton’s FW16-17 collection, Nicolas Ghesquiere exclaimed he had an idea of a woman living in a digital era; someone mixing classic, athletic clothes with “fashion” pieces in order to accurately reflect what the women of today are wearing. Whatever the case, Ghesquiere’s show was certainly a breath of fresh air amongst what seemed to be a season full of endless references and more-than-evident imitation. While so many attempted to chase trends such as elongated sleeves, oversized hoodies, and historical grunginess, Ghesquiere looked elsewhere. LOUIS VUITTON CRUISE 2015 Monte Carlo was the stage for Nicholas Ghesquiere’s first Cruise collection for the House of Louis Vuitton. The fashion world knows the silhouettes that Nicholas Ghesquiere prefers. That 70’s flared trouser, oversize sunglasses with a tinted lens and the zippered safari style jacket.
