Change at Moschino Ikram hosted a 30th anniversary party for Moschino at her namesake boutique last week. It was just announced today that Jeremy Scott would be replacing Rosella Jardini who has been at the brand since 1994. Moschino has envelope the epitome of whimsy, fun happy clothes for the woman who loves fashion. We love Rosella Jardini with the assistance of Bill Shapiro, a local with whom I went to school at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and we also love Moschino. You’ve got big shoes to fill Mr. Scott. Moschino Milan is not New York shock and awe, Its Fashion injected with fun, youth and a certain Italian energy that was in the DNA of Rosella Jardini. We...

Last night the design duo Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren of the avante garde label Viktor & Rolf made an appearance at Ikram for dinner and karaoke. Guests all wore their favorite Viktor & Rolf pieces. The evening commenced with a meet and greet with cocktails and a sit down dinner at Ikram’s amazing Farm to Table restaurant , for what seems like 100 guests . The evening continued into the wee hours with the guest of honor, singing Abba's "Dancing Queen". All in all, a good time was had by all. It was a fantastic evening indeed to celebrate their fall collection which gained rave reviews from buyers and press for it’s mix of Avant...

Balenciaga Studio Appointment

Upon seeing the first look, the black wool coat with shearling trim and petal back, I can clearly see the natural progression from Nicholas Ghesquiere to Alexander Wang. It was extremely wearable, sculptural, and played to the Balenciaga codes.   The key words in the collection are: chain link or maillon, the key detail on bags, shoes and accessories. Petal; describing the slight flare in the skirts, coats jacket, trousers and dresses. Sculptural, the shapely cut and detail on all the looks. Couture; the workmanship was sublime. Cashmere knitwear was dipped in acrylic paint and allow to...
