EMMANUELLE KAHNH

EMMANUEL KHANH PARIS Emmanuelle khanh is to eyewear what Run DMC is to Rap. I’ve lived through the 80’s and through Emmanuelle Khanhs oversize eyewear of that era. Run DMC glorified Emmanuelle khan and Addidas and helped secure both labels in the start of the era of Fashions obsession with the it label. Emmanuelle Khanh is a French label and is grounded in minimal architectural style of the Mary Quant era and the 1960’s. At TWOmuchstyle we are versed in the history of fashion and agree that Emmanuelle Khanh was before its time and is currently on trend. So in your efforts to get oversized in the eyewear department and to get that 80’s look Via Run DMC , visit Emmanluellle khanh...

THE SNEAKER, FROM COUTURE TO THE STREETS

It all started at the Spring Summer Haute Couture collection when Karl Lagerfeld for Chanel and Raf Simons for the house of Dior presented sneakers with evening dresses and suits. In Couture standards Couture sneaker takes approximately 100 hours to make including embroidery. The top trends starts at the Couture and trickles down to the Ready To Wear collection. Such is the case with the sneaker. It descended from the Glossy world of Couture to the Lowly Ready To Wear. TWOmucshtyle brings you the best ready to wear version from our favorite labels. Perhaps designers realize that women needs comfort and what better way to be comfortable than in a sneaker So let falls top trend sneak up on you. Try one...

CHITOSE ABE , SACAI

SACAI Sacai, The Japanese brand designed by Chitose Abe is the label of the moment. For fall, it became clear that the label has arrived in the arena of Fashion stars. It counts fashions most influential figures as fans. Suzy Menkes, Anna Wintour and Karl Lagerfeld are all supporters. The luxury boutiques Blake and Ikram are the only outpost in Chicago to carry Sacai. The designer, Abe, is its creative director and owns 100 percent of the company, therefore having total control. Chitose Abe spent eight years working for Comme des Garcons and Junya Watanabe before launching her own company in 1999. Sacai’s style is quite wearable but has the most amazing amount of details to warrant it the label of the...

kiki De Montparnasse

KIKI DE MONTPARNASSE Never judge a book by its cover. We beg to differ. Love is a wonderful thing, so is sex. In the eyes of TWOmuchstyle, sex is one of the ingredients to happiness. Good sex = Happy. I discovered Kiki De Montparnasse in Las Vegas at the shops at the Aria. Sex sells, we all know that. Good sex packaged well sells even better. Kiki De Montparnasse is a global luxury brand and the purveyor of fine intimate accessories and lingerie to put a smile on anyone’s face. Everything seems to be designed to make each and every experience extremely beautiful. FROM VANS TO INSPIRATION

VANS Spring summer 2014, It’s a season of inspiration that is inspired by the lowly Vans. The staple of Skaters and punkers alike. The top houses of Paris got inspired to concoct the most amazing Skaters this side of the Atlantic. Celine, Givenchy, Lanvin and Saint Laurent created their rendition. They’ve amplified the quality, design and price tag to bring you the summer’s blockbuster in comfort sneaker. I love a good inspiration especially when it could be tracked to its lowly source. In your efforts to get the look, you can either go to the source or get a glossed up, dolled up version brought to you via the best houses of Paris. Celine is available at Blake, Barneys New York and at...

Birkenstock original

INSPIRATION The spring summer collections were awashed with the skin baring Birkenstock inspired sandal. Designers looked to comfort for spring and sent out inspirations based on the lowly Birkenstock. As a youth, I myself stepped into this object of inspiration in my search for comfort. Celine led the way in this comfort revolution followed by Givenchy. As they say in fashion. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. But we beg to differ. This is not imitation. Designers have elevated the Birkenstock to fashion cult status. Welcome to the world of fashion. Welcome to Inspiration Welcome to Birkenstock Available at IKRAM BLAKE BARNEYS NEW YORK SANDRO SAKS FIFTH AVENUE ...

THE ARTFUL SOLE

SPRINGS ARTISTIC ENDEAVOURS One of the top trends for spring summer 2014 is the influence of art on fashion led by the mega design houses of Celine, Dior and Prada. For these mega brands Fashion imitates art. At Celine with its painterly strokes and simple modern silhouettes, the shoes and accessories were the ones that ground the collection in its art reference. Namely Cubism. Celine presented shoes with a sphere heel and a skeletal rectangular heel and mules that retain that sculptural detail of a chunk of Marble and Malachite. Dior’s Dali inspired collection was all about surrealism. Drenched in acidic colors and morphed with space age shape and technology. The footbed of Dior’s shoes is equipped with memory foam technology, adding...
