BEAUTY 2016

It was exactly a week ago that we all shouted “Happy New Year!!!”.

With the new year, we are prompted to celebrate, and to step outside the day-to-day activity we’re always so busy with: to reflect, look back, take stock, assess how we did, and then resolve to do better going forward- and that includes even our beauty regimen.

Here are some of our top beauty products and tips, to start this awesome year looking your best.

MOISTURIZING.

Moisturizers have been proven to treat dry skin conditions like eczema, offer some sun protection, and improve the appearance of skin all over the body. Since extreme weather conditions( hot and cold) can be very harsh on the skin, it is very crucial for us women to moisturize our skin, in order to keep its youthful glow.

For a natural, dewy skin, we recommend Lait-Crème Concentré by Embryolisse. Also referred to as a 24-Hour Miracle Cream, this moisturizer works amazingly with any foundation, and provides all day moisture! (Try mixing the cream with your foundation and then apply… it works wonders!)

It is also the ‘must-have’ product for make-up artists, models and celebrities. This creamy lotion is three products in one: primer, moisturizer, and make-up remover. Its formula remains extremely simple and effective with nourishing ingredients that restores the skin’s natural glow and gives a boost to tired dehydrated skin.

BLUSH.

To compensate for the ‘lack of color’ or that annoying washed out look that comes during the winter season, we suggest the Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge for Lips & Cheeks. It is Bobbi’s best-selling, multitasking cream color for lips and cheeks, and it comes in a mirrored flip-top compact for on-the-spot application. The pale pink hue gives a nice glow and pop of color without the appearance of too bright, or overdone. For the ladies that are more adventurous, add Tom Ford’s Shade & Illuminate( also a cream) for contouring and highlighting, which when used together, produces a cheeky sheen.

MASCARA.

A creamy, long-wearing mascara helps magnify the eyes and intensify your look. Great mascaras come in different shapes, sizes and brands. One of our favorites, is the L’Oréal’s voluminous mascara in carbon black. This mascara features a blend of darkest black carbon & lash-filling powders that gives no caking, clumping or crumbling effects. This mascara will literally make even strangers ask if your lashes are real!!!

LIPS, LIPS, LIPS.

Now, this year is all about the lips! Pouty. Matte. Full. Long lasting, Color. We all desire Kylie’s lips( it’s ok to admit). We discovered COLOUR POP Ultra Matte Lips a few weeks ago, and we’re thrilled to give our review. The red shade, named Creeper, is an Absolute favorite and it is EVERYTHING! This is not to take away from the other available colors( Platform, Trap & Buds), which are equally as stunning, but the red color pops out for that really bold, dramatic and sexy look.

When applied on the lips, it first goes on with a shine, but it eventually dries matte- hence the name, Ultra Matte. For ladies with dry lips, it is recommended that you apply a lip balm first, since this product is not made for moisture. With the application of a moisture rich lip balm, you can be sure to have that sexy pout- just like Kylie!
